Spiritual direction is a prayer process in which a person seeking help in cultivating a deeper personal relationship with God meets with another for prayer and conversation that is focussed on increasing awareness of God in the midst of life experiences and facilitating surrender to God’s will.

Many Christians are discovering the benefits of having a prayer companion drawing alongside to encourage them in their spiritual journey. This can enable exploration of their relationship with God and reflection on their awareness of His involvement in their daily lives and the choices they make.

Spiritual direction has been offered at the Charis retreat centre by experienced people over a number of years. One to one sessions of one hour can be provided on a regular basis at agreed intervals of between four and six weeks, or a one-off single session can be arranged.
